Systems Therapy (Family Therapy)
with individuals, couples and groups.

Issues relating to:

  • Divorce. Therapeutic intervention is appropriate when problems arise during any of the four stages of the divorce process: Deliberation, Litigation, Transition, and Redirection. Establishing an ongoing parenting relationship during divorce is critical.
  • Parenting, including behavior problems, school-related problems and Illinois Department of Children and Family Services problems.
  • Couple Interactions.
  • Stress assessment and stress reduction techniques.

Sex Therapy
with individuals and couples. Mr. Hertz is an AASECT (American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors, and Therapists) certified sex therapist.

Issues relating to:

  • Sexual dysfunction.
  • Sexual abuse.
  • Incest.
  • Improving sexual functioning and sex education.

Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS)
as developed by Richard Schwartz, PhD.

Issues relating to:

  • Recovery from trauma induced injuries (PTSD) such as physical abuse, rape, torture and incest.
  • Individual treatment for issues relating to substance abuse and dependence, concurrent with other appropriate treatment and support.

Public Speaking
Topics include:

  • The Divorce Adjustment Process.
  • Dealing with loss and other changes in life.
  • Managing STRESS in our hectic lives.
  • PARENTING - What we should have learned in school about discipline.
  • What is physical and sexual abuse and how can the trauma be managed?
  • Teaching sexuality to our children in a healthy manner.
